Manganese-doping of perovskite nanocrystals increases their luminescence yields due to an unexpected enhancement of radiative recombination rates.
The results demonstrate how transition-metal doping provides precise control of electronic structure and exciton dynamics in metal-halide perovskite nanocrystals and it opens a route toward very efficient light-emitting devices.
