By train. Frequent services run from London King’s Cross and Liverpool Street; King’s Cross trains are usually faster. Cambridge station is over two miles from the Cavendish, so a taxi or the Universal bus is recommended.
By bus. The Universal (“U”) service links many University departments, running between Addenbrooke’s Hospital and the Madingley Road Park & Ride via the railway station.
By car. From Madingley Road, follow signs for JJ Thomson Avenue and the University West Cambridge Site; the Cavendish Laboratory is at the far end. Parking is limited, so please ask your host about arranging a space through reception in advance.
By air. Stansted is the nearest airport, with direct train and coach connections to Cambridge. The other London airports are served by regular National Express coaches.
